Edwardsiella tarda is the causative agent of edwardsiellosis in fish. The genome sequence of a virulent strain EIB202 has been determined. According to the genome sequence, the lipopolysaccharide (LPS) synthesis cluster containing a putative O-antigen ligase gene waaL was identified.
