PURPOSE: Protein kinase (PKC)-α is abundant in retinal bipolar cells. This study was performed to explore its role in visual processing. METHODS: PKCα-knockout (Prkca(-/-)) mice and control animals were examined by using electroretinography (ERG), light microscopy, and immunocytochemistry.
