Peripheral blood mononuclear cells, obtained from patients with renal cell cancer and cultured ex vivo, exhibit high natural killer (NK) and lymphokine-activated killer (LAK) activity (also against allogeneic fresh tumour cells), which is transcribed into the hosts' immune status after reinfusion.
