We probe the molecular-level behavior of the Family 1 carbohydrate-binding module (CBM) from a commonly studied fungal cellulase, the Family 7 cellobiohydrolase (Cel7A) from Trichoderma reesei, on the hydrophobic face of crystalline cellulose.
