We combined fluorescence recovery after photobleaching (FRAP) beam-size analysis with biochemical assays to investigate the mechanisms of membrane recruitment and activation of phospholipase C-beta(2) (PLCbeta(2)) by G protein alpha(q) and betagamma dimers.
