The human tissue kallikreins, 15 secreted serine proteases, may play diverse roles in pathophysiology. The National Center for Biotechnology Information's dbSNP was mined for polymorphisms located within the kallikrein (KLK) locus using custom-designed "ParSNPs" and "LocusAnnotator" software tools.
