Osteosarcoma (OS) is an aggressive bone tumor with complex abnormal karyotypes and a highly unstable genome, exhibiting both numerical- and structural-chromosomal instability (N- and S-CIN). Chromosomal rearrangements and genomic imbalances affecting 8q24 are frequent in OS.
