Vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs) isolated from rabbit aorta and immortalised A7r5 cells were cultured on conducting polypyrrole (PPy) substrates and were subjected to a 50muA sinusoidal electrical stimulation at 0.05, 5 and 500 Hz.
