Piscine betanodavirus possesses a bipartite genome of single-stranded (+)RNAs. RNA2 cDNA of dragon grouper nervous necrosis virus (DGNNV) has been expressed previously to form virus-like particles (VLPs), which are highly similar to the native virion.
