Ph-negative chronic myeloproliferative disorders (CMPD) are characterized by constitutive Janus kinase-signal transducer and activator of transcription (JAK-STAT) activation. SOCS3, SOCS1 and PTPN6 (SHP1) are negative regulators of the JAK-STAT pathway.
