Hodgkin lymphoma (HL) is characterized by a minority of neoplastic Hodgkin-Reed Sternberg (HRS) cells surrounded by a non-neoplastic reactive infiltrate. As immunological mechanisms appear to be crucial in classical HL pathogenesis, altered serum chemokine levels might be related to disease activity.
