Abstract excerpt
Genotoxicities of phthalic acid (PA) and terephthalic acid (TPA) were examined using three mutagenicity tests: Ames, chromosome aberration (CA), and micronucleus (MN). In the Ames test, these two agents did not produce any mutagenic responses in the absence or presence of S9 mix on the Salmonella typhimurium strains TA98, TA100, TA102, TA1535, or TA1537. The CA test also showed that PA and TPA exerted no...
