Mutations in cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) produce clinical phenotypes ranging from the severe end of the spectrum, pseudoachondroplasia (PSACH), which is a dwarfing condition, to a mild condition, multiple epiphyseal dysplasia (MED).
