YtvA is a blue-light-sensing protein from Bacillus subtilis related to plant phototropins. It carries a LOV (light, oxygen and voltage) domain, binding FMN (flavin mononucleotide) as chromophore, and a STAS (sulphate transporters and antisigma-factor antagonists) domain with poorly characterized function.
