Pyrosequencing technique has been widely used to perform both single-nucleotide polymorphism detection and quantitative DNA methylation analysis. Simplex Pyrosequencing is sufficient to interrogate more than one polymorphic site if these gene variants are within the reach of the sequencing reaction.
