In order to study the physiology and pathophysiology of gonadotrophin action, we have produced transgenic (TG) mice overexpressing human chorionic gonadotrophin (hCG) alpha and beta subunits (hCG+ mice) and knockout (KO) mice for the luteinising hormone receptor (LHR; LuRKO mice).
