Myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) is a clonal disorder of hematopoietic stem cells characterized by ineffective and inadequate hematopoiesis. MDS is also a susceptibility to acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and shown to be extremely resistant to current therapeutic strategies.
