Mutational inactivation of the retinoblastoma (RB) gene has been implicated in the genesis of retinoblastoma, osteosarcoma, and other human tumors. Our strategy has been to characterize naturally occurring mutants from tumor cells to pinpoint potential domains of RB protein crucial for tumor suppression.
