The molecular basis of ovarian cancer development has not been fully elucidated. In this study, genetic alterations in ovarian cancer were identified by arbitrarily primed polymerase chain reaction (AP-PCR). A gene in DNA fingerprinting, amplified from primer AE11, was cloned, sequenced, and identified by comparison with known genes in the genome database.
