A C-to-T polymorphism in exon 3 of the low density lipoprotein receptor-related protein 1 (LPR-1) gene has been implicated as a risk factor for Alzheimer's disease (AD). The authors performed a meta-analysis to investigate the association between the C766T polymorphism in the LPR-1 gene and the risk for AD.
