Lewy bodies (LBs) are the pathologic hallmark of Parkinson's disease. Recent studies revealed that LBs exhibit several morphologic and molecular similarities to aggresomes. Aggresomes are perinuclear aggregates representing intracellular deposits of misfolded proteins.
