Mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) is a distinct form of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL) derived from CD5+ B cells. MCL cells overexpress cyclin D1 as a consequence of translocation of the gene into the immunoglobulin heavy-chain gene locus.
