The recombinagenic effect of doxorubicin (an anticancer agent that impairs DNA synthesis and causes chromosome breaks) was used to induce parameiotic events in Aspergillus nidulans. Heterokaryons formed with master strains and uvs mutants were inoculated with and without doxorubicin.
