The diabetes (db/db) genotype mutation induces a hyperglycemic-hyperinsulinemic endometabolic state in C57BL/KsJ mice, manifesting a type 2 NIDDM diabetes-obesity syndrome (DOS) in this hyperphagic, leptin receptor (lf) defective model.
