Lec23 Chinese hamster ovary cells are defective in alpha-glucosidase I activity, which removes the distal alpha(1,2)-linked glucose residue from Glc(3)Man(9)GlcNAc(2) moieties attached to glycoproteins in the endoplasmic reticulum.
