OBJECTIVE: This study was to investigate the gene mutation of thiopurine S-methyltransferase (TPMT) in Uygur Chinese. METHODS: Polymerase chain reaction-based methods were used to analyze three commonly reported inactivating mutations-G238C, G460A and A719G.
