Osteopontin (OPN) is an arginine-glycine-aspartate (RGD)-containing cytokine that increases macrophage expression of the Th1 cytokines interferon-gamma (IFN-gamma) and interleukin-12 (IL-12), and downregulates macrophage expression of IL-10.
