Agrobacterium tumefaciens delivers transferred DNA (T-DNA) into cells of plants and yeast. In plants, the T-DNA integrates at random positions into the genome by non-homologous recombination (NHR), whereas in yeast the T-DNA preferably integrates by homologous recombination (HR).
