The expression of glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GAPDH) may be involved in neuronal disease and in programmed cell death. Recent investigations indicate an in vitro physical association between GAPDH and huntingtin, the mutated protein in Huntington's disease (HD).
