Abstract excerpt
Parathyroid adenomas are benign uniglandular tumors and are the most common cause of primary hyperparathyroidism. Several genetic changes in parathyroid tumors, including inactivation of tumor suppressor genes, activation of oncogenes and loss of heterozygosity at several chromosomal loci, have been reported.
