Dlk/ZIP kinase is a serine/threonine kinase highly homologous to DAP kinase. We have reported that HeLa ZIP kinase (hZIPK) phosphorylated the regulatory light chain of myosin II (MRLC) at both Ser19 and Thr18 in vitro.
