Aberrant crypt foci (ACFs) in the Fischer 344 (F344) rat colon, of control or 2-amino-3,8-dimethylimidazo[4,5-f]quinoxaline (MeIQx)-treated groups, were compared morphologically, immunohistochemically, and at the molecular biological level in order to elucidate their biological characteristics.
