In order to approach the genetic mechanisms behind initiation and progression of papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) tumorigenesis, we characterized numerical chromosomal imbalances in a panel of 25 PTCs with varying histopathological and clinical features using comparative genomic hybridization (CGH).
