The repair of the endogenous lesion 8-oxo-7,8-dihydrodeoxyguanosine (8-oxodG) was investigated in the nucleotide excision repair mutant xeroderma pigmentosum D (XPD), using human normal or transformed XPD fibroblasts and the Chinese hamster XPD cell line UV5.
