We have used representational difference analysis (RDA) to identify up-regulated genes in skin fibroblasts from fibrotic lesions obtained from patients with systemic sclerosis (scleroderma). RDA of cDNA libraries derived from fibroblasts from involved and uninvolved skin detected several differentially expressed genes.
