Syringomycin E is an antifungal cyclic lipodepsinonapeptide produced by Pseudomonas syringae pv. syringae. To understand the mechanism of action of syringomycin E, a novel resistant Saccharomyces cerevisiae strain, BW7, was isolated and characterized.
