In Escherichia coli, tyrosyl-tRNA synthetase is known to esterify tRNA(Tyr) with tyrosine. Resulting d-Tyr-tRNA(Tyr) can be hydrolyzed by a d-Tyr-tRNA(Tyr) deacylase.
