The aims of this study were to investigate the cytotoxin-associated gene A (cagA) and vacuolating cytotoxin gene A (vacA) subtype in Taiwanese H. pylori isolates from patients with gastroduodenal diseases and to assess the relationship between genotypes of isolates and clinical features.
