Strawberry (Fragaria × ananassa Duch.) is one of the most important crops in Salto, northwest Uruguay, with 42 ha cultivated in 2013, which represents the 54% of the Uruguayan production. In 2016, a 5% mortality of ‘INIA Guapa’ strawberries was observed in Salto.
