Strawberry (Fragaria × ananassa Duch.) is widely grown in soil and under soilless conditions in Italy. Since May 2018, about 40 to 50% of strawberry plants (cv. ‘Portola’) cultivated both in soil and under soilless conditions in the same commercial farm at Cuneo Province showed intensive collapse.
