<h4>SUMMARY</h4> Mutations in CCDC11 have been identified in multiple patients with heterotaxy (Htx), a disorder of left-right (LR) patterning of the internal organs. In Xenopus , depletion of Ccdc11 causes defects in LR patterning, recapitulating the patient phenotype.
