<h4>Summary</h4> Mucopolysaccharidosis III (MPS III or Sanfilippo disease) is a spectrum of 4 genetic disorders (MPS IIIA-D), caused by defects in the genes SGSH, NAGLU, HGSNAT and GNS encoding enzymes involved in degradation of heparan sulfate (HS).
