<h4>Background: </h4> Allelic variation in the brain-derived neurotrophic factor ( BDNF ) Val66Met polymorphism has been shown to moderate rates of cognitive decline in preclinical sporadic Alzheimer’s disease (i.e., Aβ+ older adults), and pre-symptomatic autosomal dominant AD (ADAD).
