<title>Abstract</title> <p>Background Okadaic acid (OA) is an important liposoluble shellfish toxin distributed worldwide, and mainly responsible for diarrheic shellfish poisoning (DSP) in human beings. It has a variety of toxicities, including cytotoxicity, embryonic toxicity, neurotoxicity, and even genotoxicity.
