<title>Abstract</title> <p> Background mTORC1 activity is oncogenic. However, in the presence of chemotherapy, suppression of mTORC1 is cytoprotective. mTOR suppression requires an intact tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC), composed of TSC1, TSC2 and TBC1D7.
