Thyroid stimulating hormone receptor (TSHR) is an integral part of the hypothalamic-pituitary-thyroid axis. Notably, dysregulation in TSHR activation in humans can lead to adverse effects such as Grave’s disease, hypothyroidism and Hashimoto’s disease.
