Gray blight disease, known to be caused by a group of Pestalotiopsis-like species, is described as one of the most serious diseases on tea plants (Camellia sinensis [L.] O. Kuntze) worldwide. During April to August of 2017, gray blight disease was observed in the tea plantations of Yongchuan, Chongqing city, southwest of China (N29.75′, E105.71′).
