<h4>Background</h4> Familial hypercholesterolemia (FH) is a semi-dominant genetic disorder characterized by lifelong elevation of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) and a markedly increased risk of premature atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (CVD).
