The lumbar 5 (L5) dorsal root ganglia (DRGs) were studied in neuropeptide tyrosine (NPY)-deficient (-/-) and wild type (+/+) mice after unilateral sciatic nerve transection using in situ hybridization and immunohistochemistry.
