Complementary DNAs encoding two nonallelic PTH/PTH-related peptide (PTHrP) receptor (PPR) isoforms, xPPR-A and xPPR-B, were isolated from a kidney complementary DNA library of the tetraploid African clawed frog Xenopus laevis.
